Yoga has been part of my life for more than 20 years.
As neuroscientist and movement scientist, yoga teacher and doctoral researcher I am exploring how movement, especially mindfulness and the nervous system regulate the body, brain and wellbeing. My fascination with the relationship between mind and body eventually led me from sports science and teaching as groupfitness and personal trainer to further studying human movement (MA) and neuroscience (MSc), and now doctoral research into human performance, regulation and recovery.
NYERÉ is where those worlds jointly form something new: embodied practice, scientific understanding and space to reflect without pressure. The sessions combine yoga, meditation and breathwork with naturally placed insights into topics like interoception, attention, stress- and nervoussystem regulation — dropping in here and there to deepen your experience, and to take into the new year.
